Area Operator (Process) – Das Island Base

Purpose and Scope:

·Operates
the LNG plant equipment on shift under the supervision of the Senior
Operator (Field) and as directed by the Senior Operator in the Control
Room.

·This includes starting up and shutting down safely,
logging and recording readings, identifying and reporting defects
occurring in any plant in the defined area.

Duties Performed:
1.Checks, operates, monitors and observes all activities/situations on plant equipment within the defined area of duty.

2.Logs and records all plant running parameters and reports back giving detailed information of any abnormalities and defects.

3.Carries
out operational preparation of equipment prior to release for
maintenance and ensures proper implementation of Permit to Work
instructions.

4.In Storage & Export area:
· Assists pilot to ensure safe berthing of all export vessels.
· Operates hydraulically powered loading arms and gangway.
· Liaises with Cargo Engineer during loading.

5.Maintains a high standard of HSE and demonstration acceptable level of risk perception.

6.Provides on-the-job, type of training and coaching for all UAE Developees in the assigned area.

Minimum Requirements:

·Completion of Technical Secondary Education (12 years) or ATI graduate or equivalent technical diploma.
·5 years of operational experience in oil & gas industry.
·Fair knowledge of written and spoken English.
·Ability to communicate clearly and concisely by radio and other communication means.

Remuneration Package:

?Salary: (Dhs. 7,326/- salary to employee (One US$ = 3.68 UAE Dhs.)
?Work/Leave Cycle: 40/20 (i.e. 40 days duty on Das Island followed by 20 days paid leave with return airfare to point of origin).
?Messing and accommodation are provided for free of charge while on the Island.
?Excellent sports/recreational facilities on the Island.

A)Review

original proposal through the instigation of technical queries to
projects/client.
C)Verify
and conceptualize the most optimum work route. Identify a clear scope
of work/supply and accordingly plan/schedule the engineering activities
and manpower resource. Identify and quantity total number of
engineering deliverables, man-hour allocation, format of delivery, time
schedules and other requirements for execution of the work.
D)Coordinate
with projects and planning on project time schedules, establish target

G)Manage
the preparation of HSE safety designs and philosophies, including HAZOP
& HAZID analysis and reports, shutdown and blow down philosophies,
fire proofing requirements, site environmental and metallurgy data,
Consequence Analysis Reports, Fire and Explosion Reports, Risk
assessment Reports, Emergency Evacuation analysis, Flare radiation
analysis, noise studies and other risk assessment reports.
H)Supervise
and provide guidance in the preparation and evaluation of plot plans,
engineering drawings and technical documents issued for Internal Design
Checks (IDC's) and the integration of other engineering discipline data
inputs. Prepare technical document requirements for equipment
specifications.
I)Attend
HAZOP, HAZID and ENVIID meetings. Participate in meetings with client
and vendor representatives, clarify and ensure vendor specifications

J)Interact

Job Type :Contractual.
This contract is for one year but the renewal of the contract depends
upon the candidates' performance during the course of period.
Projects experience:Candidates with at least 4 years of experience in refinery project.

Job Description:
* Need to have a very good working knowledge of ALL the operation of an Owner's operator or facility Permit-To-Work system.
*
Have an experience related to start of a facility and equipment,
operations or other relevant experience such as construction, field
engineering, field supervision or operations in industrial process or
utility engineering / construction.
* Ability to work effectively
with the owner's staff, project management staff, construction
supervisors and foreman, start-up staff, etc.
* Previous outage management experience is desired.
* Previous construction supervisory experience is a desired.
* Previous plant operations experience is a plus.

Requirements

* Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Engineering - Environmental/ Health/Safety or equivalent.
*
Minimum of five years experience in a plant operations, or construction
role at a refinery, chemical or power facility, one of which pertains
to the administration of a total permit to work system that includes
LOTO (Lock Out, Tag Out) program for mechanical and piping scopes of
work e.g Hot works and Cold works.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Must speak and write English fluently, another local dialect would be an advantage.
*
Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact closely and frequently
with client management and operations and maintenance personnel while
maintaining necessary levels of commercial awareness.

Candidates must have experience on Jacking Method on Tank Projects.
