As part of ongoing Mine Development and Exploration Program, the Company is seeking candidates for the position of:
 
HSS MANAGER  & HSS SUPERINTENDENT
 
This position will be responsible for developing and promoting a high level of safety awareness throughout all aspects of existing operations, into the construction and general operations phases. These positions exists to prevent loss by ensuring that effective strategies are developed in the areas of preparedness, training, and maintenance across all areas of responsibility, through the effective operation of the Safety section of the Health & Safety Department. The incumbents will provide leadership in the HSS Department and work closely with the Site Management to ensure the goals of the department are achieved. These site based roles will be FIFO reporting to the General Manager Operations. This position will be based in North Sumatera.
 
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a site based safety system and best practise
Provide training to site supervisors in regards to conducting pre-start meetings and Hazard analysis.  
Develop HSE reports and issue to reporting lines, review with all concerned.
Monitor accident and incident information to insure that it is being completed and circulated as required.
Submit a monthly report based on leading and lagging indicators including safety, health and cost KPI's.
Ensure suitable and adequate safety & PPE is available,
Co-ordinate all incident investigations
Co-ordinate safety reporting and audits for PTAR and sub contractors on site.
Assist in the other related duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years safety related experience in similar roles within the mining industry
Strong leadership, negotiations and interpersonal skills
Intermediate computer skills, (MS word/excel/email)
Excellent Indonesian language skills (written and spoken)
First Aid qualifications
Demonstrable knowledge of Indonesian Statutory Regulations
Previous experience in mine rescue techniques
Project Management experience
 
The Requirements of this position are shown below:

Graduate from respected / reputable university with min S1 / S2
Min 3 years experience in a similar capacity and preferably in a mid size organization of a related industry
Preferably from consumer good industry
Good leadership, result orientation, communication skill, presentation skill, team work, good networking, initiative and foresight skill
Good proficiency in spoken and written English
Strong team player / self-motivated, able to work and deliver in high pressure environment
Willing to be relocated in North Sumatera
