ASIA SELECT presently operates in the Philippines, India (Mumbai and
Pune), Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Australia with an affiliate
office in Singapore, and is exploring possibilities in China, Thailand
and the Middle East.
Our client is a multinational manufacturing company which boasts GMP
certified capability and is ISO 9001:2000 certificated organizations.
Internationally, the group provides core businesses in Manufacturing
and Integrated Distribution Services.
In order to further strengthen the company's presence in Indonesia,
our client seeks to identify a senior professional to take on the role
as the GM or Director –Logistics (POSITION OPEN TO EXPATRIATES).
Main Responsibilities:
• Managing the financial and operational performance of the Logistics
business units
• Managing the distribution strategy, warehouse and delivery vehicles
The accountabilities are as follow:
1. To manage the operations of the logistic business in a profitable
manner, consistent with the Company's expectations.
2. To plan for long term development of the logistics business with
the objective of maximizing sales and profits.
3. To ensure the sales and profits budgets of the Company are achieved.
4. To ensure that all overheads and expenditures are effectively
controlled to within or preferably below budgeted levels.
5. To tightly control debts and ensure that doubtful debts are well
within budgeted levels.
6. To monitor inventory to maintain maximum / minimum stock levels.
7. To manage the optimization of the following logistics processes:
a. Inventory turn
b. Warehouse efficiency and productivity
c. Transportation efficiency and productivity
d. Transportation penetration processes
8. To regularly follow-up on internal logistics performance through
structured periodic reports and comparison against established
standards as key measures.
9. To represent and promote the company at senior level with
principals and customers to ensure that relationships are at all times
productive and cordial.
10. To review and implement marketing plans and ensure that the
strategies are effectively carried out.
11. To build a customer focused team that is competitive
12. To enhance the competencies of the employees and build a
performance-based culture in the organization.
NOTE: Client has articulated preference for expats who can speak in
Bahasa Indonesia.
