1. Mechanical Piping Designer x 2 positions
- candidates must have at least 8 years experience (refer attached
job description)

2. Senior Mechanical Piping Designer/Checker x 1 position

Designer (Piping /Mechanical)

Qualification
Minimum HND/HNC (engineering diploma) or certificate from recognised
training institute in engineering draughting, CGLI or equivalent.
Lower level qualifications may be considered only in exceptional
cases if having a good level of experience to compensate

PC literate

Experience
Shall have a minimum of 8 years related experience plus proven
capability in an engineering design firm. Minimum of 3 years
experience in design of upstream (Offshore and Onshore) Oil & Gas
facilities with experience in front end conceptual, detailed design
and as built.
Experience in EPC companies though not mandatory is an advantage.

Software (mandatory)
Shall be well versed with hands on experience with AUTOCAD (latest)
MS Office

Software Additional (non mandatory)
Knowledge of PDMS (ver 11.5.X) modeling and draft.
Knowledge of Autoplant

Some level of field experience in construction & commissioning will
be preferred.
Shell Group experience is preferred.

Capabilities
Produce presentable and accurate drawings, including a consistency
check.
Able to independently do study piping, generate plot plans, piping
general arrangement drawings, tie in schedule, fabrication
isometrics with BOM, line lists, material take off, piping support
drawings/BOM per Company standards - understanding safety
requirements, PEFS (process engineering flow schemes /P&ID¡¦s),
client requirements and vendor interfaces.
Able to perform site visits Offshore and Onshore for Brownfield
projects, conduct field surveys and independently proceed with the
design.
Shall be able to prepare sketches for the other designers/
draughtsman to CAD detailed design drawings.
Familiarity and understanding of GRE, UVPC, HDPE, PE lined, buried,
lined/coated and duplex/super duplex piping is an advantage.
Be aware of, and check, the interface between own discipline and
other disciplines at all stages of the design.
Understanding and knowledge Shell Group DEP¡¦s. and International
Standards is an advantage.
Knowledge of preparing /understanding Pipeline drawings/ alignment
sheets though not essential is an advantage
Knowledge of preparing Vessel/ tank fabrication drawings/BOM though
not essential is an advantage.

Job Title Drilling Supervisor

Purpose of Job
* The Drilling Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day on Site
planning and execution of drilling, completion and workover
activities, maintaining maximum HSE and operational efficiency, at
maximum value in terms of cost versus benefits.
* He is responsible for implementation of all the company's
policies, procedures and guidelines on drilling operations, safety
and environmental protection.
* Is BSP¡¦s most senior representative on Site and is responsible for
first line response and problem solving of non planned operations.
* He provides guidance and advice to Wellsite Drilling Engineers and
Assistant Drilling Supervisors and takes an active role in their
training and development.
* He may be assigned to high profile and/or difficult projects such
as HPHT exploration drilling, deep water exploration drilling,
extended reach wells, conductor sharing wellhead campaigns and the
implementation of high risk/high reward new technology

Principal accountabilities

Execution of daily operations:
* Supervises the execution of drilling, completion and workover
activities.
* Supervises the drilling contractor and service personnel to ensure
all work performed conforms to safety, quality and highest value
requirements and in accordance with the well programme.
* Responsible for day-to-day optimisation of activities and
provision of first line action and problem solving in case of
unexpected events.
* Provides sufficient, accurate and timely data to office based Well
Delivery Team members.
* Co-ordinates the timely supply of required equipment, consumables
and specialist services to ensure uninterrupted continuation of
operations.
* In order to broaden his experience and develop his communication
skills, he may be assigned to high profile drilling activities such
as HPHT and or deep water Exploration drilling.

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE):
* Ensures full Wellsite compliance with the BSP HSE policies and
procedures as detailed in the Safety Management System, HSE
Standards and all other Brunei Shell HSE documentation.
* Conduct relevant HSE-Critical activities as specified in the HSE-
Critical Activities Register (BSP-09-Guideline-016).
* Ensures all personnel are fully conversant with, and strictly
adhere to, their responsibilities as detailed in the Safety Case for
the respective installation.
* Sets a clear leadership example and promotes a high degree of
health, safety and environmental awareness among subordinates.
* Reviews effectiveness of rig HSE systems by inspection and audit.
Reviews effectiveness of rig HSE communication by line inspection.
* Promotes the practical implementation of the Hazard and Effects
Management Process (HEMP), by the use of (mini) risk assessments for
routine and non-routine operations.
* Fulfils his tasks identified in the departmental HSE Plan and
ensures his presence during monthly office HSE meetings.
* Co-ordinates activities on the rig affecting health, safety and
environmental matters, in particular, when several line departments
are involved.
* Ensures all non-routine hazardous work is performed under the
permit to work system.
* Ensures all near miss incidents and incidents resulting in injury
or damage to assets, equipment or the environment are reported to
the Senior Drilling Engineer (TSW/1 or TSW/2) and that assigned
incidents and near miss events are investigated and a report is
written.
* Shall be certified PTW Authorised Signatory.
* Is the BSP representative at the regular rig safety meetings.

Qualifications
Required „X Graduate Engineer, H.T.S / H.N.D

Competence Required
Experience Minimum 3 years experience served as Wellsite
Drilling Engineer and Assistant Drilling Supervisor (1 year).
Shall have completed the SIEP Round I and Round II self study
exercises and passed the associated exams.
Shall be in the possession of a valid IWCF certificate at combined
surface and sub-sea supervisor level.

Should be well conversant with Shell MESC system and Shell
procurement practices.
Shall be well versed in preparation , technical bid evaluation and
vendor drawing review of all piping specifications , non MESC items
( specials) ,inline piping specials
Additional knowledge in handling static equipment like tanks ,
pressure vessels, packages, is an added advantage though not
essential
Having a working knowledge of pipeline codes viz, B31.4 or B31.8 ,
handling pipeline/flowline items , like launchers, receivers,
barred tees etc is desirable though not essential
A good appreciation of materials in upstream oil and gas use is
required.

In addition to the above,

Worked as a static equipment engineering specialist handling
pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, stacks , columns etc.
Fully conversant with vessel design , heat exchanger design using
software such as PV Elite, should have hands on experience and able
to work independently
A good appreciation of materials in upstream oil and gas use is
required.
Should be knowledgeable and conversant with software such as
Finglow, BJac, Codecalc etc.
Should be able to prepare requisitions for tanks ( floating , fixed,
dome roof) , pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns , associated
process internals, flare stacks, static skid packages such as
chemical injection skids , flare packages, produced water treatment
skids, etc.
Should be able to independently handle technical bid evaluation and
vendor drawing review for the above.
Should have adequate exposure to Shell DEP's and Shell practices.
Fully conversant with all relevant ASME, ANSI, ASTM, ISO, WRC,codes
standards and definitely ASME Section VIII, PD 5500, TEMA, API
650,620, BS 2654 etc.
An appreciation in handling piping activities is also desirable
though not essential.
Should be able to guide a team of designers in preparing fabrication
drawings with BOQ and necessary welding details.
Good knowledge on welding and NDT as per the code is desirable

QUANTITY SURVEYOR

1. PERSONNEL AND QUALIFICATIONS
a) Grades of PERSONNEL
For the purpose of the CONTRACT, there shall be two (2) categories
of PERSONNEL;
i) ¡¥Quantity Surveyor ¡V Grade 1¡¦ who shall have at least ten
(10) years practical experience in their specific profession;
ii) ¡¥Quantity Surveyor ¡V Grade 2¡¦ who shall have between five
(05) and ten (10) years practical experience in their specific
profession.

Practical experience shall be that gained after qualification.
b) Quantity Surveyor
A Quantity Surveyor shall:-
i) Hold a recognized degree or BSP approved equivalent in
Quantity Surveying or related disciplines.
ii) Have a minimum of five (05) years practical experience in
Quantity Surveying and control tasks related to the execution of
construction service contract, preferably in the Oil and Gas
Industry.
iii) Preferably hold a Chartership, RICS or equivalent, in
Quantity Surveying.
iv) Be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
v) Be competent and experienced in QS Report writing/cost
report.
vi) Be fluent in both spoken and written English.
vii) Well developed Interpersonal Skills i.e. Communication and
Negotiation skills.
viii) Be physically fit to undertake the SERVICES.
ix) Have basic computer skills including Microsoft Office tools.

2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK/SERVICES
a) The CONTRACTOR shall, as and when instructed by the BSP,
carry out Quantity Surveying and related SERVICES on construction
and/or maintenance contract of Major and Capital Project works being
executed during the CONTRACT PERIOD for the BSP and/or its
ASSOCIATES.
b) The types of SERVICES may include one or more of the
following, but not be limited to:
i) Performing pre-contract and post-contract administration
including assisting in preparation of the Contract management Plan.
ii) Evaluate and verify site instructions, variations and the
application of contractual (and new) sums, rates and prices thus
making fair payment for work done with a view to avoiding future
contractual claims from contractors.
iii) Performing monthly valuations (value of work done),
materials on site valuations (if any) and confirming the validity of
contractor and third-party invoices.
iv) Cost Control ¡V recording and forecasting value of work done
versus actual expenditure (with possible use of software).
v) Evaluating and advising upon contractual claims (if any).
vi) Agreeing the final account with the contractors(s) for
signature in accordance with the Manual of Authorities.
vii) Establish and maintenance of cost databases.
viii) Preparation of tender documents.
ix) Provide training and assistance to BSP¡¦s PERSONNEL, such as
the newly joined and graduates to the BSP, as and when required at
no cost to the BSP.
x) Any other related work as may be necessary in the execution
of the SERVICE.
