Subject: [Head-Hunter] Vacancy in CARE International Indonesia - Finance Assistant, Kupang

CARE Indonesia, as an International Non Government Organization (INGO), has carried out large scale operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations, transitional activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a range of development initiatives in such areas as water and sanitation, health and micro-credit. CARE is currently recruiting the following position for its Project:

FINANCE ASSISTANT

RESPONSIBILITIES :

· Assists the Finance Officer in maintaining an effective filing system following basic CARE guidelines. Ensures that all correspondence is properly filed.

· Coordinates outstanding advances with CARE staff and provides follow-up as appropriate.

· Transmits billing and signature required documents to Team Leader and facilitates a rapid turn-around of these documents.

· Assists Financial Officer in reviewing receipts received from local vendors, staffs and CBOs to ensure consistency to CARE standards. Identifies potential problem areas to Financial Officer.

· Serves as "Acting" Finance Officer in the absence of the incumbent (for periods of not more than two consecutive days).

· Assists the Grants/M&E Officer in providing training to CBOs and other CARE partners in Grants/M&E issues.

· Any other duties that maybe reasonably assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Min. Diploma III (management / accounting / social science);

· At least 1 year experience accounting; office administration is a plus;

· Excellent communication skills in Indonesia

· Good communication skills (written and oral) in English will be preferable

· Attention to details

· Ability to work easily, professionally with others and to work effectively in a team environment;

· Ability to enter and maintain data bases systems.

· Good computer skills, including ms.office, internet, email.

· Ability to prioritize work activities and to set and meet deadlines imposed by supervisors and/or CIIHQ Jakarta;

· Having driving licence (SIM C) is a plus.

· Familiar with SCALA system is a plus
