Our Client, an International oil and gas service company is currently looking for:
Senior Structural Engineer
Job Description
The Senior Engineer – Structural reports to the Project Engineering Manager and is primarily responsible for supervising the quality of the relevant design deliverables produced by the detailed design group, in accordance with the contract specifications and as per the project schedule.
Responsibilities include supervision and management of the following functions and deliverables:
With regard to Detailed Engineering:
· Oversee and manage the production of detailed drawings and design
·Discipline Interfaces and Checks (Architectural, Process, Piping, Mechanical, and EIA) – Interface Coordination to ensure information flow and cross-discipline checks.
· Check Engineering Calculation, Engineering Drawings, MTO, Weight Control Report, Specifications, Basis of Design Report
· Raising of Technical Queries and deviations to specifications
· Production of CTR's (Cost Time Resource)
· Manpower planning / management
· Raising of Work Instructions for the Fabrication Department
· Vendor Data Review and Summary of Bids Approval
With regard to Client Interface:
· Weekly meetings on progress work flow
· Deviation requests from specifications
With regard to reporting:
· Progress reports
· Project schedule
· Structural engineering schedule
Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural)
· Minimum of 10 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably with offshore background
· Experience in design/engineering of platforms
· Comprehensive knowledge of international specifications, appropriate industry codes & standards
· Analytical skills with attention to detail
· Experience in managing a team of engineers
