DURATION: 6-12 MONTHS
TITLE: SR. P/A.
POSITIONS: 12
Position Summary: Senior Programmer/Analyst responsible for developing and supporting BDC (a new Broker Dealer Clearance System)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following, other duties may be assigned:
Reviews and analyzes system specifications to determine whether all required elements have been included.
Consults with clients to gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, compliance, and outputs.
Uses programming languages to code computer instructions from Business Requirements and System Designs.
Utilizes any special programming techniques necessary to achieve the most effective program.
Tests and debugs computer programs.
Modifies existing programs to conform to system changes or to make improvements in the existing program.
Advises and works with user departments to resolve specific problems or make changes in programs, computer applications, capabilities, alternative programming approaches, limitations
Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
Monitors performance of programs after implementation
Cross-trains as back-up for development and maintenance.
End-end Incident tracking and client follow-up, including post mortem
Perform miscellaneous support activities as requested by Management.
Maintains relationships with other departments.
The successful candidate requires the following professional competencies: Candidate should have proven competencies/skill-sets in: strategic thinking, critical thinking, and a sense of strong ownership and accountability. In addition, the candidate should be highly motivated, have outstanding communication and strong interpersonal skills, be very organized, operate with rigor/discipline and be able to influence others.

COMPETENCIES
Proven ability in Java OO concepts, XML, MVC design, JSTL, JSP, WEBLOGIC, Eclipse, SOA (including webservices and ejbs), SQL using ORACLE
RATIONAL Architect (RSA)
Background with JMS and ANT scripts, CVS
Financial Services products a plus
PROBLEM SOLVING COMPLEXITIES
Analyze and identify effected processes and implement corrective measures
Prioritization of issues based upon impact to projects
